Video director Floria Sigismondi has written a screenplay that he's directing, while it will be produced by John and Art Linson and Bill Pohlad are producing.
It's called The Runaways and it's a biopic on the 70's rock group.
Fresh off her stint in Twilight, Kristen Stewart will be playing Joan Jett, and as if it's bad enough one has to live up to a person they are portraying, but Joan Jett is set to be one of the executive producers!
The Runaways will follow Joan Jett and Cherie Currie during the band's rise to fame and the teenagers shock and how they handle the fame, or deal with their misperceptions of what fame could be.
Work on the movie is looking at a 2009 start, but has to play timing hurdles with Stewart's schedule as she works on the Twilight sequels.
