'Prometheus' First Movie Trailer That Appears Exciting

-Prometheus is the prequel to the Alien movie franchise, that Ridley Scott says is not a prequel.  But looking at this newest movie trailer for Prometheus, I'm seeing eggs, aliens and issues that come from hanging with the aliens.

But it does take place before the era of the Alien movies.  A time when humanity, as you can see from the trailer, discovers the species.

The studio is giving the movie plenty of attention, with viral websites and such to keep fans entertained or more engaged by the time the movie premieres.

Prometheus, from Ridley Scott and writer Damon Lindelof, stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and a bunch more in a movie about

"A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."

At least that's what the movie summary says.

The viral marketing includes websites with hidden clues and videos at Weyland Industries.  Sections keep popping up and there is some interesting bits.

There are a lot of things to check out, but first, let's check out this newest full-length movie trailer for Prometheus:

-It's looking like this could be a pretty good prequel.  Scott made a point early on to dash those thoughts by saying this took place in the same universe, but like I said earlier, it sure is looking like a prequel.  Plus, there's a lot to live up to.

This franchise has been around for a while and fans have enjoyed the franchise, as is.  But now we have a chance to get answers as to how this species came to be.  I've never actively wondered about the origins for long after the movies came out... but now, with this movie, Prometheus, our imaginations are sparked and we are wondering.  Wondering what Ridley Scott and Damon Lindelorf have in mind?

I guess we'll find out when Prometheus opens in theaters on June 8th, 2012!  Later all...  -Bruce
