(SILVER SPRING, MD) - SCIENCE announced that it will converge on the world's leading comics and pop culture convention with three exclusive panels at this year's Comic-Con International: San Diego (Comic-Con), taking place July 12-15.  Headlined by the 10-year anniversary panel for the cult sensation FIREFLY, the network's first appearance at the event features a star-studded lineup of top talent, producers and never-before-seen footage, along with numerous buzz-worthy surprises.  SCIENCE will burst onto the scene at this year's Comic-Con providing the ultimate signature experience that fans won't soon forget, with additional presentations for DARK MATTERS: TWISTED BUT TRUE and STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOWFRINGE, which will make its SCIENCE debut on November 20, also will feature a panel on Sunday, July 15.

For the first time ever, SCIENCE will bring together the cast from the beloved but short-lived series, FIREFLY.  Captain Mal and his team will descend upon San Diego 10 years after the sci-fi western first hit airwaves and triggered a fanatical following.  Since making its debut on SCIENCE in 2011, FIREFLY has become an audience favorite, attracting an army of both new and veteran Browncoats to the network.  Join creator, executive producer and writer Joss Whedon, alongside fellow executive producer and writer Tim Minear, and cast members Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Michael Fairman and the rest of the crew of Serenity for one of this year's the most anticipated panels on Friday, July 13, at 12:30 PM (PT).

New York, NY (June 27, 2012)— MTV announced today the hit drama Teen Wolf will be back at Comic-Con for the third consecutive year, with a panel featuring all the stars from the series, and a special sneak peek of an all-new episode.  In addition, MTV Geek! will host a live pitch competition between three top comic creators in the industry.  For those who can't make it to San Diego this year, MTV News and MTV Geek! will bring the Con to fans providing wall-to-wall convention coverage.  
"Teen Wolf" cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Colton Haynes are taking Comic-Con by storm again, and giving fans an exclusive first-look at an all-new episode, along with the latest scoop from season two during the Q&A session, moderated by TV Guide Magazine Senior Writer, Damian Holbrook.  Fans will want to stick around for the can't-miss world premiere trailer of MTV's upcoming scripted comedy series, "The Inbetweeners," immediately following the Q&A session.  The series, from executive producer Brad Copeland ("Arrested Development," "My Name is Earl"), will premiere Monday, August 20 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

This Independence Day, SCIENCE invites viewers to celebrate by choosing Browncoats over redcoats and tuning in for an all-day marathon of its 2002 hit series FIREFLY. Complementing the 10th anniversary reunion panel that will be held at this year's San Diego Comic -Con on July 13, the event will reintroduce viewers to the adventures of Capt. Malcom "Mal" Reynolds and his spaceship crew as they seek out (extraterrestrial) life, liberty and pursue happiness.

Episode 1: Serenity

In this original pilot episode, the crew transports passengers to another planet to sell salvaged goods only to discover that an undercover Alliance agent is on board the Serenity. The crew heads off to the rim worlds after picking up three passengers: Book, Simon, and Dobson.

Episode 2: The Train Job
Wednesday, July 4 at 10:00 AM (ET/PT)
Serenity continues to travel through space conducting illegal runs across the star system, which is under the control of the Alliance. A powerful and fearsome mobster named Adelei Niska demands that the crew of Serenity pull a train robbery. The train is carrying medical supplies for a community, and Mal and Zoe get held on suspicion.

Episode 3: Bushwhacked
Wednesday, July 4 at 11:00 AM (ET/PT)
On a salvage mission aboard a drifting colony ship, the Serenity crew finds signs that the crew of the deserted ship was killed by the cannibalistic Reavers. They find one survivor, however things take a turn for the worse when an Alliance ship, looking for an unspecified Firefly-class ship with brother-and-sister stowaways, shows up and takes them in.

Episode 4: Shindig

On the planet Persephone, the crew is contacted by their old "friend" Badger, the ruthless crime lord, to transport some goods on behalf of a local lord. While at a ball to arrange a transport job with the lord, Mal defends Inara's honor when her current customer insults her. By local custom, he unintentionally challenges her date, Atherton Wing, to a duel.

Episode 5: Safe
Wednesday, July 4 at 1:00 PM (ET/PT)
Mal must choose which crew members to save when one is gravely wounded and two others are kidnapped. Simon finds an uneasy haven in a remote village, but River's uncanny perceptions jeopardize the Tams' temporary safety. Simon is kidnapped by locals who need a doctor, while River is threatened with burning as a witch.

Episode 6: Our Mrs. Reynolds
Wednesday, July 4 at 2:00 PM (ET/PT)
While completing a job on a backwater world, Mal is married to a village girl without his knowledge. The girl, Saffron, gets onboard and the crew does not find her until they're already in the air. Mal is not sure what to do with her, but let her come along.

Episode 7: Jaynestown

The Serenity crew pulls a job in a town where Jayne once made some friends and few lifelong enemies. Meanwhile, Kaylee and Simon dance, River rewrites Book's bible, and Inara beds the magistrate's son, a virgin.

Episode 8: Out of Gas
Wednesday, July 4 at 4:00 PM (ET/PT)
Following Serenity's engine explosion, the crew is left with only hours of oxygen. In a delirious state, draining the ship of its oxygen supply, Mal has a series of flashbacks about how he came to own Serenity and form his crew.

Episode 9: Ariel

On return to Ariel, Simon hires the crew out to smuggle River into a hospital so Simon can figure out what the Alliance did to her. The plan goes off without a hitch - that is, until the Alliance catches wind of the Tam siblings' presence on the planet.

Episode 10: War Stories
Wednesday, July 4 at 6:00 PM (ET/PT)
Jealous of Zoe's relationship with Mal, Wash insists that he go with Mal to try to sell some of the medical supplies the crew stole from the Alliance. In the middle of the deal, Mal and Wash are kidnapped by men working for Niska, the crime lord, who wants revenge against Mal for the botched train heist. Meanwhile, Inara extends her services to a council member. To the crew's surprise, it's a woman. And Simon continues to treat River with some of the medicine he stole, but she suffers the occasional relapse.

Episode 11: Trash
Wednesday, July 4 at 7:00 PM (ET/PT)
Saffron (from "Our Mrs. Reynolds") returns - after Mal breaks up her current gig, she convinces him and the crew to help out with a "perfect crime" that isn't. The crime: go to Bellerophon and steal a criminal's prototype laser gun from his collection. The plan: Saffron and Mal sneak in and dump the gun down the trash, bypassing security, and the Serenity crew grabs it from the disposal system.

Episode 12: The Message
Wednesday, July 4 at 8:00 PM (ET/PT)
An old war comrade of Mal's and Zoe's, Tracey, mails his corpse to them. He also leaves a message asking them to deliver his body to his family. Some men, claiming to be with the Alliance, are on the trail of the body and catch up to them demanding the corpse. The crew can't find anything on Tracey's corpse, but as they prepare to cut it open, Tracey comes back to life. He explains he is smuggling super-organs in his own body.

Episode 13: Heart of Gold
Wednesday, July 4 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT)
The Serenity goes to the moon of Deadwood to answer a distress call from Inara's old friend, who runs a brothel. The Serenity crew defends a bordello from a gunslinger, who got a prostitute pregnant and now intends to collect the child; Mal falls for the bordello's madam.

Episode 14: Objects in Space
Wednesday, July 4 at 10:00 PM (ET/PT)
Serenity encounters a ruthlessly professional bounty hunter, Jubal Early, who will stop at nothing to retrieve River. But River, feeling unwelcome on the ship, takes a novel approach to escaping from the long arm of the Alliance.

E L James to sign 'Fifty Shades of Grey' at Comic Con

Next month, E L James, the author of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, will be signing books July 12, 4-5:30 at the San Diego Convention Center. The ticketed afternoon event is free. This is the author's first book signing on the West Coast. 

First published in May 2011, Fifty Shades of Grey follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. Subsequent novels in the series, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed explore the couple's deepening relationship.

Since Vintage Books acquired the books in March 2012, the trilogy has sold 16 million copies in the U.S. in all formats.

E L James is a former TV executive, wife and mother of two based in West London. Since early childhood she dreamed of writing stories that readers would fall in love with, but put those dreams on hold to focus on her family and her career. She finally plucked up the courage to put pen to paper with her first novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

In this new original weekly hour-long series, Anthony Melchiorri, a hotel “fixer,” turns struggling hotels into bustling tourist destinations.  Each episode features a hotel that is having problems or not living up to its potential.  Melchiorri secretly scouts the property and identifies its biggest problems.  He then meets with the staff, from front desk receptionists to housekeeping to the owners themselves, to determine the key operation issues.  Some owners could risk losing their hotels if Melchiorri’s renovations do not work!  After coming up with a plan and prescribing the changes that need to be made, Melchiorri revamps and re-motivates the staff and transforms the hotel.  In an all-new episode at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT, Melchiorri travels to Billings, Montana where the historic Dude Rancher Lodge is out of touch – and almost out of time.  Melchiorri must jumpstart everyone to increase the hotel’s local presence for it to have any chance of survival.

The Course of the Force is similar to an Olympic torch relay, except participants come dressed in their favorite Star Wars or popular culture-themed costumes and hand off a custom Hasbro Ultimate FX Lightsaber at quarter-mile markers to the next runner. On July 7, Course of the Force will kick off with an event at the Santa Monica Pier at 10:00 a.m. The relay will start later in the day and end that night at the Redondo Beach Pier. Other planned stops include Huntington Beach Pier, Oceanside and Crystal Pier at Pacific Beach.

Fans have the opportunity to participate in the historic lightsaber relay by registering online now at One hundred percent of runner proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish chapters of San Diego, Greater Los Angeles, and Orange County and the Inland Empire.

Giving the event a true fan's touch, Nerdist Industries' founder Chris Hardwick will be joined by co-hosts Ashley Eckstein of Her Universe and Alison Haislip of Nerdist. Morgan Spurlock's (SUPER SIZE ME) COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE will be released on DVD on July 10, 2012. The film will also be available in two Collectors Editions with figurines.

The two Collector's Editions will contain the DVD alongside action figures of Stan Lee and Harry Knowles or Joss Whedon and Spurlock. This is the first time mega-director Whedon has been immortalized into action figure status... which will no doubt delight fans everywhere.

The Whedon/Spurlock special editions will be sold exclusively at Toys "R" Us stores nationwide.


Warner Bros. Entertainment is the key to excitement at Comic-Con! The Studio has once again created a set of limited-edition collectible hotel keycards, which will be in use at top hotels throughout the San Diego area during Comic-Con 2012. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the popular room key program, giving fans instant access to a usable — and collectible — piece of artwork.

Over 40,000 branded room keys will be available to fans at 38 participating San Diego–area hotels, courtesy of Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing.
