Paramount Wants 'Transformers 4' by 2014, Is Bay Ready?

As we all know, Michael Bay originally was signed on for three Transformers movies, with Transformers: Dark of the Moon being his third and final movie in the franchise.

At least that was the word.

Then Paramount and Hasbro were watching the $$ add up from each movie release and they both feel as there's still some mileage to be had from the Transformers franchise.

But Micheal Bay had said in the recent past that he would consider another Transformers movie, but first, he wants to relax and shoot a small movie.

But Parmount seems to be pushing for something other than that.

ComingSoon.net was told that Paramount wants Transformers 4 out by 2014, per producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura.  But can Bay muster that time frame?

As it stands, he's doing his smaller movie because Michael Bay starts shooting Pain and Gain in April.  That movie will cast Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, about a group of boydbuilders who find themselves snared in the middle of a criminal enterprise.

(No, not the TV shows... which sometimes seem criminal!)

Bonaventura said that with the next Transformers movie will be a hybrid of a film, where some characters move forward into the new story line while others do not.

But it's all conjecture because he himself said they're still trying to figure it out.

So for now, it's good enough for Transformers fans to know that Paramount and Hasbro want Transformers 4.  And hopefully the scheduling will work out for everyone who needs to be involved, to be part of the process.

July 2014?  That is going to be cutting it close if they're going to make that release date with everything that all parties are doing!  But hey, it's Hollywood!
