Lindzi Cox Talks About Her Exidus From 'The Bachelor'

In a press teleconference, ABC had the runner-up contestant, Lindzi Cox on the line for press to grill her about her time on the show and the ending of this season of The Bachelor (Ben).

Anyone watching the show saw the differences between Courtney and Lindzi and how Lindzi was a class act right on through to her exit.  I don't think I've ever seen a braver front from someone who's been jilted by or on The Bachelor and she didn't deserved the brutal emotional trip she went through.  (Then again, she did go on the show!)

With that said, check out what she had to say on a few points from the game show.

On talking to Ben's mom and taking the high road:

Lindzi basically didn't have that much negative material on Courtney (at the time) and only said what she knew, and that was that they're two different people.

-

Her biggest surprise from watching the season now that she's out of that rat trap:

She was shocked to see what Courtney said in her video journals.

-

On the premise that the men always go for the bad girl over the good girl, after seeing the show, is she glad Ben didn't pick her and does her offer to call if things don't work out still stands:

"it's up to them if their relationship works and I wish them nothing but the best. " and she added that she's in a real good place right now.

-

Lindzi was on-set while they were taping the "After the Final Rose" and it was a judgement call to not bring her out... but she was fine with that.

-

On hindsight and not being picked, "I really am happy with how things ended for me."

-

She has not spoken with either Ben or Courtney since Switzerland and doesn't need to.  She's got her closure.

Surprisingly, she said she would be open (strongly consider) to being on the Bachelorette.

She said the text message dumping was harder than being dumped on TV and that as far as alumni events of the Bachelor franchise, she'd be interested in attending those events.

She was asked about her first ex, from the "Dumpsville" Text, and if she had gotten together with him after the finale, like he said they did in his own interview:

She replied, "It's amazing what people will do to make a dollar."  In other words, no, not true.  (What would you expect from a guy that dumps people from a text message?)

  • She's not dating yet.
  • She's actually hoping to get on The Bachelor Pad. (Seriously?)
  • At the moment, she's not keeping in touch with any of the other women.

And that's the jist of that.
