TV News: Idol, Voice, Longmire, Sons of Anarchy, WH13, Nikita, & Doctor Who?

The title says it all, with chats about some RENEWALS, FINAL SEASONS, casting updates and a TV rating or two.  Plus some other noise, just in case you care!

-

If you're a fan of The Voice, the June 10th and 17th episodes will be extra long.

-

If you're a Neil Patrick Harris fan, he'll be hosting the Emmy's this year!

-

If you think American Idol is getting drab and run down because it's nothing new, well, yes.  But the word on the street is that American Idol will be staffing those judging seats with very fresh blood.  Meaning, news is that Fox might be looking at an AI alumni panel of judges.

It could be interesting, and at least while the ratings continue to fade, Fox won't be paying premium dollar for the poor judges who have to sit through that crap.

If you happened to like the cancelled show, Don't Trust the B---, and want more, well, you're in luck.

ABC has put the eight unaired episodes up online.  Hit up ABC's site to catch all the fun.

There's news that The CW is still "developing" a Wonder Woman series, though, as they say, it's a tricky property to market.  I'm not sure where it's really going, but it's still a possibility.

In my mind, a remote possibility.

Uh ho...  the fourth, upcoming season of The CW's Nikita, is being reported to be its swan song, or final season.

And it's going to be a very short swan song, with only six episodes ordered!

At least they're letting the show go out on its own rather than pulling it.

Here's some great or so news:  John Cochran, the winner from Survivor Caramoan, is going to work for EW, as the recap writer for Big Brother.

-

Saving the good for last:

Hey Longmire fans, the season premiere opened to a whopping 4.3 million viewers.

-

CCH Pounder will be showing up on one of my favorite shows, Sons of Anarchy!

-

The BBC renewed Doctor Who for an Eigtht season!

-

Syfy's Warehouse 13 is getting a fifth season, but it will be its last.  Syfy calls the show its incredible signature series.  Yep, so "signature," that they have to cancel it!

-

Word on the street is that Shakira, Usher and Cee Lo are returning to The Voice.  BUT...  Shakira and Usher are coming back in 2014, for the sixth season, if it's still around.
