Is 'Under The Dome' Under the Ratings Weather?

The quick answer is no, Stephen King's Under the Dome is doing fine for its second episode of the series.

Some folks are making it out to be something bad, that the TV ratings for Under the Dome dropped 15% from its series premiere.

But as I noted last week, (wait...  what did I say last week?  ah), that almost every series premiere sees a ten to twenty percent drop in ratings from premieres to the next episode.

Folks, came, they saw, and some didn't come back (for the live airing of the series.).

Last week's early ratings numbers for Dome were 9.2/15 (all viewers); 3.2/9 adults 18-49.  Over 13M viewers.

This week, it was a 2.8/8 for adults, 18-49.  Roughly a 15% drop in viewers in that demographic from the week before.

The show still pulled a respectable 11.5M viewers.

Folks, I think the show will take care of the TV ratings for CBS and do well.  CBS rarely flounders with what they pick ti air.  And when they have to cancel a show and what they call floundering, is still pretty decent compared to most shows.
