'The Wolverine' Advanced Tickets Are Now on Sale...

'The Wolverine' advanced movie tickets on sale now
In case you had not heard the news, The Wolverine advanced movie tickets are now on sale so you can start stocking up on the popcorn now.

But I must ask, why?

I'm a bit old-school and don't buy my movie tickets until I'm either headed out the door or get to the movie theater and buy them at the ticket window.  The only advantage, that I can possibly see from buying tickets super early is to avoid getting the seats sold, out from under you.

But if that's the case, then you're jammed in with a few hundred of your non-closest friends!

For me, I don't mind if you buy your tickets ahead of time.  That means fewer people in line when I get there.  And it's barely more than a few extra minutes to wait around.

I was wondering what your cause is for buying tickets ahead of time?

The studios love it because they use the metrics from ticket sales to predict how a movie will do, beyond what is already sold.  Advanced ticket sales are akin to a statistical sampling.

Movie Static Observation:

What I did find interesting was the commentary on a few Facebook page posts, and how dour many of the more vocal folks seem to be about the upcoming Fox distributed The Wolverine movie.

I made a vow to never buy tickets to a comic book movie made by Fox.

Is there a need for advance tickets for this?

Or one of my favorites, obviously posted by a psychic,

"pure garbage."

Others were hoping it didn't suck and a few were hopefully supportive.  It's funny how the more critical-minded folks are the ones that tend to surf and comment on the web.

As the poster said, The Wolverine will be in theaters July 26th in the U.S. (Don't be fooled by the date in the trailer, it's a UK trailer.)
