'Sons of Anarchy' Recap of "Salvage" w/ Episodic Pics

The Sons of Anarchy episode, titled "Salvage," opens with the the boys surveying what's left of the garage/club... and Jax says this is on him.  Chibs says this isn't over.

I have this feeling we're about to get some "classic SAMCRO" tonight.

Jax won't tell Eli who, but about it being revenge.

Nero's been put in a holding cell, and Gemma shows up at the precinct.  They won't let her see him, so she throws a fit, and a cop across the room.  She got to see Nero... in cuffs, in the same holding cell with him.  LOL.

SAMCRO is now holding up in Gemma's house but planning a road trip up to Chester for a big meeting Jax called for.

The Irish call to tell them they betrayed them, and tells them Clay will distribute and they won't get any cut from the business.    When Jax tells them he'll cut Connor and the other guys loose, the Irish council was surprised by this.  Obviously they were duped by someone.  (Galen?)

Other deals are going down, including Tara shoring up details about getting her divorce, full custody of the kids, then having them turned over to Wendy if/when she goes to prison.  She's asking Wayne to help with this.  She wants the kids out of Charming and away from exploding things.

On the way to Chester, SAMCRO rides through Eden and they get pulled over and the local cops try to jam them up.  Things go sideways when Juice snaps and they make a break for it.  It turns out the cops were dirty and no APB was put out on them for their antics.  SWEET.

Bobby is at the Chester meeting.

Gemma sees Clay to tell him what happened at the club and for him to accept the Irish deal, per Jax's instructions.  She tells him about Toric setting up Nero.  He tells her about the s*! Toric did to Otto and was planning to do to him.

Jax's multi-chapter meeting had him talking about his dad, the club, the event at the clubhouse.  He presents his case about getting out of guns.  How they're barely profitable after lawyers and other clean up details.  He tells them about the deal with the Irish.

He recounts the loss of his best friend, (RIP Opie), to protect what the club is about, abut the 20 members killed in the last 2 years... and how his charter is moving out of guns and into pussy.  He extended his charter's help to anyone else who wants it.

The ensemble agrees.

Bobby tells Jax he hand-picked the crew that's following him.  They're the most loyal men he could find and it's what the club needs.  He wants to come back, now that he knows where Jax's head is at and their plans.

Gemma goes to see Eli, but runs into DA Patterson and tells her about Toric's aggressive need to put the club down.

Eli hits up Toric's hotel room to look around and they find all kinds of interesting goodies.  Guns, drugs, a spotless and bleached bathroom.  DA calls for the CSU to toss the room but despite what Eli says, she's still looking to press murder charges against Nero.

Gemma heads back to Nero's place and Nero has a SURPRISE guest waiting for him... one of his old "girls."  (HELLO Walton Goggins.  What a pleasantly entertaining appearance once again on SoA.)

The club (with Bobby) arrive at the impound yard the Eden cops told them their bikes would be at. Juice's bike was brought there, but the bike was being dismantled.  And they find a bunch of brand new bikes in another room.

They call the crooked cops and when they show up, Jax coerces them into silence with pics of their stolen evidence, they get Juice a new bike, and have them apologize to each member for their behavior.

Bobby's in the background, laughing, saying "It's good to be back."

As the episode winds down, the DA is getting aggressive with her pursuit of the club.  She offers Tara full immunity to her if she rats on the club.  (Tara will not).  The DA is also moving up her trial date by a few weeks.

In previews for next week, we're seeing Tara and Gemma throwing down.  (Again), and the DA offering Nero full immunity.  I don't think that will work either, but that remains to be seen.

Tonight's episode showed us the old-school SAMCRO once again.  Put in a corner by the IRA, crooked local cops, and the DA hounding their asses, this is just like it used to be.  Cruising the road, and Jax finally working with everyone about his plans for his chapter and the impact it had on the other chapters.

But it's working out for him, for now.

We're still waiting for the big blow up between moms (Gemma and Tara), how Wayne can help her out, and what's coming down the pipe from the ever more insistent DA.

With Toric gone, this is classic SoA, and per a tweet from show creator Kurt Sutter, he hinted that this episode should be setting the tone for the rest of the season.
