The CW Rewews Five Shows

News out from the CBS Corp and WB Owned network, The CW, has announced today that they've renewed five shows in their present inventory of content.

The renewed shows are Arrow, Reign, The Originals, The Vampire Dairies and Supernatural.

These five shows are their good ratings performers for the net, and rightfully so.

Their take on the issue is that,

This season we've had great success with our new hit series THE ORIGINALS paired with SUPERNATURAL, giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is #2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with ARROW continuing to gain among young men, and REIGN growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.”

Arrow's Stephen Amell said on Facebook:

"Arrow Season 3 is happening.

I LOVE EVERYBODY!!!
"

Seriously...  These renewals mark the tenth season for Supernatural, while The Vampire Diaries will be in season six, and as Stephen said, a third season for Arrow.

-

With these early renewal announcements on their strong performers, that leaves a few other shows out there, leaving us wondering what The CW is thinking, as far as their futures go.

The network understands that some content won't be huge rating winners and have operated accordingly, giving good coverage to shows that otherwise might not have ever lasted beyond a single season on some other networks.

But for the time being, fans will still have to wait for news on

The Carrie Diaries,
Hart of Dixie,
The Tomorrow People and
Beauty and the Beast
.

Though some industry insiders aren't sure that Tomorrow People or Carrie Diaries will see another season.

And if the other two get renewed, they might be their final seasons.

But hey, we'll see.
