Aaron Paul May Star in Better Call Saul

I just noticed that there's news floating around that Aaron Paul is in negotiations (or as it's put, serious talks) to reprise his role of Jesse Pinkman in the Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul.

In a publicity jig, he was asked about his Breaking Bad role and he said he owes his career to show creator Vince Gilligan and the premise of reprising the Jesse character would be fun, being that in the prequel, it would be Jesse's lighter days.

When I first saw the headlines, I thought it would be amazing.  But then I started thinking about it and the Jesse we all came to enjoy was a very different guy from the Jesse we first met in the first season of Breaking Bad, when we watched him bailing out of a window.

But then again, the creative forces behind Breaking Bad made it a worthy series.  Hence, I have a bit of faith they could pull off an entertaining Jesse character in his early days.

We'll see.

Better Call Saul will premiere on AMC in November.
