A Monster Movie Trailer, Starring Matt Damon

Oh my. This new period look for Matt Damon feels like a prequel to Jason Bourne movies! Or not. It's a weird look for him, as far as I can tell, since this is the first time I've seen Bourne... I mean Matt Damon in anything other than recent era clothing! Or Jason Bourne with arrows??? Oh god, you people are screwed!

But be it as it may, this new film, "The Great Wall," is being touted as the most expensive Chinese film ever made. Does Damon cost that much??? OK, just fooling. But seriously, if this is done well, this could be a fun film. It will also star Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe and Andy Lau.

It is kind of odd, seeing Damon surrounded by a predominantly Chinese cast. I wonder how they'll explain that one away? Considering how some folks have gotten their druthers in a tizzy about casting white people in Chinese roles of late.

Check out the first movie trailer for "The Great Wall," and at least enjoy the fun of it. For now. It's due out in February of 2017.
