-

School for Psychics is a new show being bravely developed by The CW by the same folks that backed Jane the Virgin, and it will be based on a book trilogy by K.C. Archer.

I said 'bravely,' because the books haven't even gone to print yet.

The show will be about an aimless, jaded young girl who learns she has latent psychic abilities and is recruited by a secret government agency for gifted individuals. As she hones her skills, she is put on a case that is directly connected to the murder of her parents two decades ago.

--Is it me, or does this feel old/familiar, never mind a bounce of some other mutant-based shows? Well, The CW hasn't had too many cratering shows, so maybe it will work just fine!

-

The Voice judging panel for next season's run will include Kelly Clarkson, with Alicia Keys returning to badger Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

I don't know about you, but so far, this show has kept it fresh enough to keep it entertaining for me.

RENEWALS Or Good News For...

-

American Chopper is getting revived by Discovery Channel and will premiere in early 2018.  I guess they are hoping we forgot about how ugly the behind-the-scenes feud got with the Teutul's.

The new show will focus on the Teutel's trying to recover from their previous scenario and rebuilding their business. I guess a TV show will help that!

-

CBS renewed the summer series, Salvation for a second season. It's about a killer asteroid heading to Earth, complete with all the usual other threats that society has to offer, like nuclear war and political subterfuge.

---I watched a few episodes of the show and then just let it collect on my DVR, totally meh about it. But not hating it. And yet, I'm not rushing back to it either!

I have to wonder... just how many seasons can an asteroid hurtle towards earth, threatening all life as we know it?
