BLACK PANTHER, WONDER WOMAN 2, ALITA BATTLE ANGEL

Are We Worried About Black Panther Marvel?

I only ask because on their YouTube channel, while Thor Ragnarok has all of his trailers broken out into their own individual links, and in play lists, plus all the Thor previews are under his own Marvel Thor sub-channel listing.

While Black Panther trailers are under 'Marvel Cinematic Universe,' in a single play list. Like, dudes, you're scaring me! What's up with that?

While I'm talking about the Black Panther film, I have to say, this may be one of my more anticipated films of the year, starring Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan, among many popular cast names!

The Black Panther trailer has 14+ million views and growing! I guess I'm not the only one getting pretty excited about the film!

Wonder Woman 2:

Directory Patty Jenkins (Who seemed to maybe get snubbed at the Golden Globes... or there were just better nominees - it depends on who you talk to) says that the Wonder Woman sequel will be co-existing with the other DC Cinematic Universe films but her film will not be tied directly to the rest of that DC film universe.

We do know from various interviews that Diana will have a potentially new love interest.

What else we know is just how Jenkins is going to tackle the sequel much like the first film, where Diana was trying to find answers to one question, but found answers to other, much bigger questions.

But primarily, now that we have the origin out of the way, the film can start right in on the action, story, humor and what not.

I can't wait. I HOPE WB does not try to step in and take control on her, like they have on other DC films.

Alita: Battle Angel... It's due out in theaters on July 20, 2018.

Right now, the trailer for Alita: Battle Angel has almost 7 million views! At first I wasn't sure about the film, as some more conservative (boring minded?) folks were questioning it. But it does seem interesting.

Now the YT trailer is very light on a synopsis, but,

Directed by: Robert Rodriguez
Screenplay by: James Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis and Robert Rodriguez
Based on the Graphic Novel ("Manga") Series: "Gunnm" By Yukito Kishiro
Produced by: James Cameron and Jon Landau
Cast: Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, Keean Johnson

Yea, this might have some good theater legs considering the creative team behind it.

Here's the official synopsis contained in a press release I received:

SYNOPSIS

Visionary filmmakers James Cameron (AVATAR) and Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY) create a groundbreaking new heroine in ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an action-packed story of hope, love and empowerment. Set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita (Rosa Salazar) is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens she has no memory of who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in. Everything is new to Alita, every experience a first. As she learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield Alita from her mysterious past while her street-smart new friend, Hugo (Keean Johnson), offers instead to help trigger her memories. A growing affection develops between the two until deadly forces come after Alita and threaten her newfound relationships. It is then that Alita discovers she has extraordinary fighting abilities that could be used to save the friends and family she's grown to love. Determined to uncover the truth behind her origin, Alita sets out on a journey that will lead her to take on the injustices of this dark, corrupt world, and discover that one young woman can change the world in which she lives.
