"Agents of SHIELD" Finale Written As Series Finale

"Agents of SHIELD" Finale Written As Series Finale

Last year rumor on the street was that Disney would not let ABC cancel Agents of SHIELD. Then the show got shoved into the Friday night time slot that kills ALL shows, even on Syfy. So with that in mind, if you're a fan of the show, you might want to brace yourselves.

News on the street is that the fifth season finale of Agents of SHIELD is being written as a series finale, just in case.

Right.

Well, it's been a rocky road from the get go. The first season was so shitty I was surprised they renewed it, but the latter third of the first season got better because they were basing their story line on some Marvel movie events. (Unlike how the movie section of Marvel could even give a shit about the TV folks)

After that, they went in their own direction, giving us SHIELD stories that did not involve too much more of the Marvel Universe, unlike, say, the comics and how they were connected to all things Marvel.

But be it as it may, it did keep going where we learned why Coulson is still alive and loves (not) Tahiti, we got a decent version of Ghost Rider (Unlike any film version that's been out there), saw our first LMD's, and then watched a stupid alternate reality in a Hydra virtual world.

Then, (I'm taking a guess here), since people kept asking why the TV and movie realms never mixed, and getting nothing but bullshit excuses, it seems ABC solved that by mysteriously shoving our SHIELD heroes so far into the future that they've just about eliminated any more questions about mixing the two worlds of Marvel's production houses.

Add that to the Friday night time slot and I'm guessing this game of chess is about to come to a close with ABC getting what it wanted last season.

And so far, there's been no announcement as to the future of the show. Yet. So be it. If you're a fan of Agents of SHIELD, you may wish to bid them farewell, just in case.
