BATWOMAN, Kristin Kreuk, 13 REASONS, GoT Prequel Plus Canceled and Renewed news

Batwoman on The CW, TV News

The CW is at it again, sticking with what works, they're developing a Batwoman TV series, and she'll be introduced in the annual crossover event they have each year with their other shows. (Yikes, I hope that doesn't hurt her introduction. The crossovers have been so bland and short on connecting content... but hey, if it works, great!)

"Batwoman revolves around Kate Kane, a woman with a passion for social justice and who tends to speak her mind, takes to the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, a lesbian and highly trained street fighter ready to take on and eliminate the failing city's criminal resurgence. That is, if she can overcome her own demons first."

If the premise does make 'landfall' on the network, it will be joining their other DC series, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning.

See what I had to say about their new series, Black Lightning, a TV review.

Caroline Dries (The Vampire Dairies) is slated to create the scripts. No one has been cast in the role yet.

There's a Dolly Parton series coming to Netflix.
It will be an anthology series where each episode is based on one of her songs.

Kristin Kreuk returns to TV on July 25th on The CW in a new series called Burden of Truth.

In it, Kreuk plays a big-city lawyer who returns hometown to take on a simple case, which turns into something much more.

It will be nice to see her back on TV, but I hope it's not the same same character she seems to portray wherever she ends up. In Smallville, she did great in that role, but then in the Beauty and the Beast remake, it felt like a bit more of the same, but with a gun. Now she'll be wielding the law. I am looking forward to seeing this.

Storm of Suspicion is a new and upcoming series on The Weather Channel, about true-life crimes where weather played an integral part in the event. Hmm... quirky.. but will it work?

Temptation Island may be returning to USA Network. There are negotiations taking place. We'll see how that goes, because, you know, you can't have enough almost-porn reality TV shows on TV. Ask ABC!

13 Reasons Why got a third season nod from Netflix. I just started up the second season so I better get going on that! But you really need to be in the right frame of mind to watch the show... it's that good.

See my TV review of 13 Reasons Why.
