FARGO Season Two Premiere Review (Yes, Plemmons and Donovan Gained Weight)

FARGO season two premiere TV review

The second season of FX's Fargo premiered this week and once again, they have quite the cast and a fascinating story to pull us into the season.

Let's see, how'd'we start?

The cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Plemons, Jean Smart, Ted Danson, Zahn McClamon, Angus Sampson, Adam Arkin and a mini-Burn Notice reunion, with Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell in an episode or two in the season.

And yes, both Jesse Plemons and Jeffrey Donovan put on weight for the show.

"The all new "true crime" case of Fargo's new chapter travels back to 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota, where a young State Police Officer investigates a case involving a local crime gang and a major Mob syndicate."

We have our usual collection or cast of characters from the Fargo franchise. Some are rather short-sighted with few plans beyond the next hour or day. Others have big plans or hopes with hollow drive to get them done. Then there are others who have plans, the drive, and the muscle to pull it off. Maybe.

The second season premiere delivered the usual bit of enticing confusion that doled itself out in bits and pieces of story development.

The first season was a riveting tale and this season seems to have the same kind of promise, with the same kind of mid-west accents, don'tch'ya know?
