GOTHAM Casting, 90201, MAD ABOUT YOU and More

Spinoffs and Reboots

Fox is looking to revive Beverly Hills, 90210 with the name 90210, and it will be a limited Series. The twist with this reboot is that it will have original cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling, playing over-the-top versions of themselves, as they look at the idea of making a reboot of their old show.

There's a new Walking Dead spin-off in the works but AMC is being mum about any other detaills besides that.  The first spin-off, "Fear The Walking Dead," has been renewed for a fifth season by the network.

-

Gotham's Selina Kylem AKA Catwoman, will be portrayed by a totally different actress in the upcoming season finale!

Camren Bicondova has been playing the character for the last five years, but the season finale will be jumping ahead in time and Bicondova says it would not be appropriate for her to play the older version of her character. So she quit of her own volition. Of course, any actor who quits a cush job for no apparent good reason, has to have something going on in the background, right?

Any way, I think some fans will be pretty happy to hear that Lili Simmons (Westworld, The Purge) will be taking over the role.

Spectrum Originals network has announced that they are bucking for a Mad About You revival.

Charter Communications premium content net, Spectrum Originals, has picked up the limited series “Mad About You,” and it will include the original cast of Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt, reprising their roles. Co-creator Danny Jacobson will be an executive consultant so it should be interesting to potentially see the same tone as before.

The show is set to premiere in late 2019.
