Sandra Oh leaving 'Grey's Anatomy' After S10

THR has an exclusive piece, where Sandra Oh told the Hollywood watchdog site that she is leaving Grey's Anatomy at the end of the tenth season.

She says she's reached the end of the character's creative offerings.  She says that Cristina wants to be let go too.

THR also makes note that no additional cast are expected to leave.

But as the cast had renewed all their contracts to run through to the end of the tenth season, I have to wonder who else will be headed out this door of creative lockjaw?

Series creators have planned a number of exit stories, just in case.

I'm not sad to see Cristina leave.  I hated her approach to blowing off everything and everyone to get that one next professional gig or credit under her belt.  And yet there have been times I've also enjoyed her story.  But for the most part, I'll be glad to see her not show up again.  (Granted, that Grey's Anatomy returns for an eleventh season.)

Though I have to wonder why leave a cash cow job like Grey's?  My guess?  Maybe she's got something else on the horizon with show creator Shonda Rhimes or another big project elsewhere.  I bet we'll hear about something 6 months from now or so.
