Folks Think They Discovered 'Transformers' Four Movie Title

News on the street is that a multitude of websites are reporting the "possible title" for the latest Michael Bay alien robot movie, Transformers 4, coming out soon.

-

As director Michael Bay works on his fourth Transformers movie, the web is all agog that they think they've landed on clues that will lead to the  title of the next movie.

And to be honest, considering past events from previous movies, they may very well be on to something.

Here's how the story goes:

They discovered that a web registrar by the name of MarkMonitor registered a few different names on August 28th for new websites that have the name Transformers in them.  (this registering entity owns almost 16,000 other domains.)

If you're thinking, yea, so what?  This same entity was seen in 2010 registering movie site names, one of those being for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

So folks think they've got a fair lead into what the name of the movie could be.

Transformers 4

I did my own quickie research and found that markmonitor has registered A LOT of transformers website names over the years, going back beyond 2005.  MarkMonitor is a company focused on brand protection.  Their customers include 1800PetMeds, Deckers, Overstock, FedEx, ... well, you get the point.

The following Transformers site names were registered:

TransformersApocalyspe.com,

TransformersLastStand.com, and

TransformersFutureCast.com.

A fourth site title popped up since the original news:

TransformersAgeofExtinction.com

Some think that the last one could be it, considering the premise that we'll be seeing Dinobots in this next film.

Yes gang, Dinobots.

Other than that, that's all we have for the moment, but it seemed like somethig fun to spout out about.

Transformers 4 is being directed by Michael Bay. (who is also producing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [reboot] movie).  The script is from Ehren Kruger, who also penned Dark of the Moon and Revenge of the Fallen.

The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammar, and Jack Reynor. It's due out in theaters in June 2014.

The summary we know so far says:

A mechanic (supposedly Wahlberg) and his daughter (Peltz) make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official on them.

Grammar is our villain.

There are more images of the new Transformers over at MichaelBay.com.

There are a ton of sites reporting this news, but from what I can tell, the website Fusible was the first to report this news and it bounced from there.

The fourth website name came from .comicbookmovie.
