'The Walking Dead' Recap of "Isolation"

'The Walking Dead' Recap of "Isolation"

In the latest episode of AMC's The Walking Dead, titled "Isolation," Tyreese is not HAPPY and wants the bastards who burned his girlfriend.  Can't blame him there, though he did have a bit of a problem with his blind rage.

Rick put him down, but it set him back a bit with some inner turmoils.

Sasha needs to see Dr. S.  She's hacking up, coughing, and does not look good.

Between the internal walker outbreak and the flu, recent events are starting to take their toll.

Cell block D is going down, and they're making Cell Block A the isolation ward.  During the council meeting we see that Glenn seems to be getting sick.

It also seems, as if it's not bad enough, their water source is having an issue.

Tyreese buries his girl, Karen, and the other body, David.  He's not convinced Rick is doing everything possible to find the murderer.  He's off to take care of it himself.

Meanwhile, Glenn now "has it."

Hershel grabs a coffee cup that says "Java Saves."  LOL.

Hershel looks to go outside and Carl is very adamant in escorting him.  He's out with Carl collecting herbs and they come across a moss covered "walker."  Well, more like a layer, since he's only laying there.

'The Walking Dead' Recap of "Isolation"

Wow... Sasha has isolated herself in the execution chamber of all places.  And Tyreese is ready to go with Daryl and Michonne to get drugs for the sick.

Maggie and Rick are trying to talk sense into Hershel about going out alone and going in to the isolation cell.  In the end they let Hershel go in, but it seems moot to have him bring in a home remedy and risk his life.

-

Carol goes off the reservation (code for leaves the prison) and does one of those stupid things and goes out by herself to fix the water problem with the source hose.

Rick saves someone else making a bone-head move.

-

The road trip for drugs goes horribly wrong as they come across thousands of walkers and the cat gets stuck on walker bodies.

Daryl, Michonne and xxx get out, but Tyreese doesn't seem to want to live and stays behind with some therapy head crushing while he gets surrounded by the pack.

But he manages to make it, taking many walkers with him.

While treating the doctor, Hershel gets blood coughed on him.  He takes off his mask, it's moot at this point.

-

In the closing scenes, Rick seems to have figured out who killed Karen and Bobby, and when he asks Carol if she killed them, she says yes, and walks away from him.

Who or what as Carol become?  Has she lost so much of herself through her tragedies that there's nothing but the shell of the survivor?

-

This episode shows the fans a lot of despair going on in the prison and the lengths they're going to, to deal.  Whether it be by taking solo runs to the river, to the woods, or offing people when no one is looking.

Hershel seems to not care if he gets sick or not.  Or he's got a serious amount of faith.  And Carol has gone down the dark side.

There's many presumptions that maybe, they were already dead before she "killed" them.  We'll find out more next week.

And there's the rage-a-holic mode Rick gets when he starts to let loose.

And look at Carl...  he's becoming the shepherd of the herd.

And through all the noise about that mega herd that Daryl drove into, it seems we lost track of the fact that they heard a voice over the car radio.  Was it offering sanctuary?  Or just another lie in this twisted world?

See ya next week!
