If you recall, Carol admitted to Rick that she killed Karen and David in the last episode.  A nexus for tonight's episode.

Carol and Rick are taking a road trip to find supplies since Daryl and his troupe haven't returned yet.

Before leaving Carol is visiting with Lizzie and we learn that Lizzie still thinks zombies are something more than what they are.  And accidentally calls her mom.  Carol sternly corrects her.

{ Who thinks Lizzie is going to be walker fodder sooner than later? -Bruce }

Rick is having issues as he imagines how Carol did what she did to Karen and David.

Our intrepid travelers, Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese and Bob are on foot now after losing their ride.  And it's obvious Tyreese is rather imbalanced by his loss.

Daryl, et al found a place and some walkers.

Rick and Carol have encountered two kids, Sam and Ana.  They ask to help scour the neighborhood.  Rick wants them to stay put, but Carol is starting to act like Andrea, and making unilateral calls despite Rick's suggestion to the kids.

During their search, Rick and Carol find that Ana has been eaten by walkers.  And Carol blows it off.

Later, it seems that Sam is late to meeting up with them.  She insists they might was well leave.

{ I'm thinking that Carol doesn't quite care any more and ignoring that had she let Rick's suggestion set in, that Ana would not  be dead.  But all Carol does is say, we better get back.  Sam is probably waiting for us.

And her apathetic perspective to abandoning Sam, well, this world has finally claimed another one, making her as numb as the next person

During their drug run, we learn that Bob is a raging alcoholic.  He almost loses his bag to walkers, but won't let go, risking himself and the group.  Turns out it's booze.  When Daryle goes to toss it, Bob starts reaching for his gun.

That's a bad case of the dry.

Rick finally tells Carol that Karen and David might have lived.  He puts it down, that once everyone finds out, they won't like it and that Tyreese will kill her.  She thinks she can handle him.

Rick says if it comes to him and her, he won't have any of it.

He sets her free, so to speak.  Banish might be the better term.  They split up here.  He's going back alone.

{ I wonder how the group will handle Rick exiling Carol.  Especially Daryl, since they've been getting closer over the weeks.

And could Carol have been a better leader, with her new, cold-hearted or pragmatic approach?  But Rick, tells her this isn't a group leader decision, but that this was for him.

But should he have let her come back to the prison any way?

Me?  She was getting very Andrea-like and might have become another loose cannon.
