USA announced today that they are done with Psych and have cancelled the series. This means that at the end of this eighth season next month, it will have it's series finale.
Psych will finally end on March 26th and that episode will be followed up by a live one-hour show with cast and crew.
Of course there's the usual "supportive" word on the street that USA might want to make a movie later on, but for now, it's done and will be gone.
The show never quite grabbed my attention span, so I never saw any episodes of it. I've seen and heard enough about it to know it exists, but apparently the ratings are just low enough to warrant the network dropping it.
