Static Bits: Silicon Valley Comic Con; New BOURNE Movie, WTF: Honey Boo Boo Is Back?

OMG, there is going to be a "Comic Con"-like event in Silicon Valley.

Silicon Valley Comic Con will be held the weekend of March 18-20, 2016 at the San Jose Convention Center, and it is being produced (for lack of a better term) by Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Talent in line to appear include Stan Lee, William Shatner, Jeremy Renner, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Ray Park and Sean Astin. Comic book artists Bret Blevins, Olivia De Berdinis, Mick Gray, Scott Koblish, Bob Layton and Liam Sharpe are also lined up.

Sounds cool and could be a great alternative to the San Diego Comic-Con. From personal experience I always found Wonder-Con to be a great substitute for SDCC, if you hate the massive SDCC crowds but want some of the fun. We'll see how it turns out.

Did you know there's a new Bourne movie coming out? Right now it's being referred to as 'Bourne 5,' and along those lines, they've cast Riz Ahmed in a role, who will be joining already cast players of Matt Damon and Julia Stiles.

I've enjoyed the fun of the Bourne franchise and loved the change up with Jeremy Renner in it. But I am NOT complaining about Matt Damon returning to the franchise either.

I may have already mentioned this, but Netflix has ordered another season of 'Longmire', bringing the series to its fifth season.

This is a fun, slow-burning kind of series and now that it is on Netflix, it has even more freedom to deliver some pretty gritty stories.

In a bid for more fame, or another Bachelor couple actually having problems, Sean Lowe and wife Catherine Giudici will be on the WE TV series, Marriage Bootcamp coming up on Dec 4th.

Speaking of...

'Honey Boo Boo' thinks they're getting back on the reality TV realm.

What network would have this bunch after they found themselves mired in so much controversy?

June had been dating a child abuser after he served a 10-year prison sentence. This prison term was a results of his allegedly forcing June's daughter, Anna, into performing oral sex. Anna was eight at the time. After he was put away and got out, June and the creep supposedly got back together.

And then there are the reports that the 10-year-old Honey Boo Boo now allegedly weighing 130 pounds.

So scandals with pedophiles and purported child-abuse (weight issues) and this is not stopping a network from airing a show with them on it?

Turns out that the new network we may all wish to now boycott is WE TV. Check out this "press release" from Alana's FB page:

"now we can release it the new show that we will b doing is marriage camp that will b on wetv Dec 4 at 9est hope yall watch it's a emotional journey but Jim and Elizabeth r the real deal and it totally raw and unscripted can't wait to c it all out and people to c the REAL side of sugarbear people that don't know us didn't see on here comes honey boo boo and I glad we done it back in June and would recommend it to anyone in trouble. .‪#‎wetv‬ ‪#‎marriagebootcamp‬ ‪#‎dec4th‬"

I know... I was searching for that decoder ring for a sentence or two.

WTH is it with some of these reality TV people or stars in general who act the dumbasses like Dance Mom's Abby busted for fraud.

Anyway, here's WE TV's press release (Some people will stoop pretty low for fame and money...)

WE tv’s hit series, MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP REALITY STARS is back, and season four is more explosive than ever. Premiering Friday, December 4 at 9PM ET/PT, this season follows Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici (The Bachelor), Benzino & Althea Heart (Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta), Sundy Carter & Cedric (Basketball Wives: LA), Sarah Oliver & Jimmy “Inkman” Coney (Bad Girls Club) and one of TV’s most controversial couples Mama June & Sugar Bear (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo), who make their return to the small screen after a public scandal.

This season, five celebrity couples fight for their survival under the weight of a vicious tabloid scandal, a secret affair and a shocking pregnancy. An unimaginable truth emerges, but not before Boot Camp spirals into chaos. Directors Jim and Elizabeth Carroll, along with co-directors Ilsa Norman and David Bishop, are up against the most volatile and challenging Boot Camp yet, and as a result, will unleash a secret weapon on this outrageous group to help reign in their relationships. But when brutal truths emerge…just who will be set free?

In the premiere episode, the drama begins immediately when infamous, hip-hop powder keg couple Benzino and fiancĂ©e Althea Heart (Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta) arrive at the mansion fighting. Marriage Boot Camp is their last resort, but it may already be too late. Enter America’s picture perfect sweethearts, Sean Lowe and wife Catherine Giudici (The Bachelor). They come to work on their communication skills, but are instantly swept up into the turmoil. What the newlyweds discover about themselves is less than rosy. It’s recommit or quit for Sundy Carter & ex-husband Cedric Carter (Basketball Wives: LA). Cedric wants to put a ring on it, again, but Sundy has been stringing him along since their divorce 15 years ago. Bootylicious Sarah Oliver (Bad Girls Club) is tired of walking on the wild side and wants to settle down with boyfriend Jimmy “Inkman” Coney, who has a penchant for threesomes, and the truth remains murky for Mama June & Sugar Bear (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo) as they look to Marriage Boot Camp as their last chance to salvage their relationship wrecked by a scandal that has torn their family apart.

After the eager boot campers arrive at the compound, a booming voice interrupts the flow of champagne and conversations, redirecting the cast to an undiscovered room. The couples find themselves right in the middle of a bizarre and twisted version of “The Newlywed Game” hosted by none other than, Bob Eubanks. Unfortunately, none of the couples are walking away with any prizes today. Eubanks will quiz each couple, digging deep into the secrets running their relationships. Can these couples handle the brutal truth, or will this spell the end of their relationships? Tune in to WE tv Friday, December 4 at 9pm to find out!
