AMC Has No Plans To End THE WALKING DEAD, Yet

The Walking Dead news/update

In a piece over on Vulture.com, the main man behind AMC programming was being asked a bunch of questions and some of those questions involved The Walking Dead.

It's a detailed interview but what I took away from it or that was made clear was that, Fear the Walking Dead is not a spinoff, it's a companion series showing events that were taking place while Rick was in his mini-coma.

They feel a spinoff is when primary characters from a show head off on their own show. This, Fear, is not that.

AMC is focused on keeping TWD TV franchise alive and well, for as long as they can, as long as they can keep it "fresh and original."

-

There is no focus on an end-game at the moment.

-

When it was asked about a potential third Walking Dead series, the reply was that they are open to ideas from the creators, as long as it feels organic and not a forced money grab.

But to be clear, there are no conversations along those lines right now.
