Ryan Phillippe Fan Alert; THUNDERBIRDS On Amazon, Bones

For those of you who like following Ryan Phillippe, USA Network has ordered a series titled SHOOTER, a story based off a best-selling novel. (And yes, there was a 207 movie with the same name, starring Mark Wahlberg.)

Ryan Phillippe will produce and star in the series, as an expert marksman who WAS living in exile until he is coaxed back into the dregs of society after he becomes aware of a plot to kill the president of the United States.

Omar Epps will also star.

AND if this has you wondering if Phillippe's other show on ABC, Secrets and Lies is cancelled or not, supposedly, back in May of 2015 the news on the street was that the show was renewed.

But sadly, Phillippe's character will not be a part of the on-going story over there.

Before you open your can of fan-wrath about Ryan not returning, it seems that actually the entire cast, with the exception of Juliette Lewis, is not returning.

To be honest, if I were a Phillippe fan, I'd be frustrated. But if you step back and realize that you liked the show that he was a part of, this may not be a bad move.

A lot of shows get off the ground floor with a good head of steam but as the story develops and writers end up finding themselves boxed in a corner, and the show and story start to run out of steam as they follow up the usual direction of plots and characters.

Very few shows survive too long before getting long in the tooth with the usual substance abuse issues, familial problems and what not.

But mixing it up like this and bringing in a new case for the detective to work on, sounds like it could still be a show worth following.

Though we are all hoping that Abby is finally caught and Ben is released from prison, because frankly, that little freak monster should not be outside of a prison wall.  Right?

Any way, keep your eyes peeled for Shooter, coming soon to a TV near you.
