WANTED (2008) Review

Angelia Jolie in Wanted, A review

I have been wanting to see Wanted since the day it came out, but it just never quite worked out in my favor until recently.

It's a shame because for the fantasy popcorn flick that it is, it wasn't that bad of a fun movie. I would not have minded dropping bucks to see this flick.

Wanted stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Terence Stamp, Common and more in a film directed by Timur Bekmambetov.

The story starts out seeing a man named Wesley (McAvoy) leading a struggling life of non-excellence, when he finds himself the target of an unknown sniper and finding himself getting rescued by the beautiful assassin named Fox (Jolie).

it turns out that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father's superhuman killing abilities. In the process Fox and her affiliates train Wesley to be the assassin that he can become so that he can take on the guy who is targeting him.

All in all, it's a fun film. It's a new look for McAvoy before he becomes a mutant professor, Morgan Freeman is Morgan Freeman, and Jolie is as hot as ever.

There are a few aspects of the story that go beyond even the realm of potential fantasy. But aside from a few moments of stretching your disbelief, it's a fascinating story.

Not only is it fascinating, there are a few great twists that I did not see coming.

Overall, I think Wanted has a worthy story that I enjoyed.
