-

Hulu: Marvel and Hulu are getting together to bring the cult fave comic book series Runaways to streaming. The show follows six teenagers who don't really like each other but they must unite against a common problem, their parents.

The comic series had a story arc written by Joss Whedon, and being in the Marvel universe, of course, the kids have powers of one degree or another.

-

Netflix ordered a second season of Last Chance U.

-

Pivot: Human Resources third season premieres on August 26th.

On a sadder note, Pivot looks to be shutting down by the end of the year. Participant Media, who owns Pivot, said in a press release,

"As the media landscape changes, we have been evaluating how we fulfill our mission to entertain and inspire social action around the world’s most pressing issues. That process has led us to the decision to move away from owning and operating a cable network. While this conclusion was not an easy one, it is ultimately in the best interest of all our stakeholders, and allows us to allocate more resources toward the production of compelling content across all platforms.

Which means that the fascinatingly good series, Fortitude, will be going by the wayside with it. That sucks!

Below is a trailer for the show, when it aired on a different network.

USA has renewed Mr. Robot for a third season.

-

Is that crazy news, that Thomas Gibson got so upset that he kicked a member of the creative team, to the point of getting himself fired from the show? Dang!

-

Also in the latest set of Marvel movie updates, it would seem that Natalie Portman is done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not by anything negative, but rather, that she has no role in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarock nor has she heard anything about being in any of the upcoming Avengers movies.
