Early ARRIVAL Reviews, BIZZARE FOODS, Renewals, BATMAN casting and Starbucks...

ARRIVAL is getting good reviews, so far.

Arrival, starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forrest Whitaker, is getting some pretty good word-of-mouth reviews from the Venice International Film Festival. This seems to be more along the lines of Contact, that starred Jodie Foster, where no whole cities are being destroyed and the like. They're trying to avoid the popcorn category of alien invasions!

If you follow my FB page, you might have seen that Tyrant has been cancelled by FX, where FX is not ordering a fourth season of the series. So I guess the season finale you just saw became the series finale. I hope it was a satisfying end.

Starbucks has... wait, what? Why am I starting a piece about Starbucks? Because they just launched their very own web series called Upstanders.

Upstanders is designed to be a show that inspires with, well, inspirational tales.

It's a 10-episode series that was written by...  oh boy... written and produced by Starbucks Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz along with Rajiv Chandrasekaran, Starbuck’s executive producer.

Hmm.

The series can be viewed via Starbucks mobile app, online, and through the company’s in-store digital network.

Or, if you can't wait to see how a CEO, whom I presume, may not have any "Hollywood" production experience, can pull this off, you can find it here:  https://upstanders.starbucks.com/
