Did You Know?:
The time-shifted or delayed viewing stats for DVRs is getting to the point where the number of people watching shows at the time of airing, versus those watching it on DVR, are almost equal in numbers?
Yep... Heck, very little I watch these days is while it airs.
But what I fear is that as more and more of us do this, the convenience of watching DVRd shows will get clipped. I love hitting the 30-second jump button to skip commercials. But as advertisers see lost revenue from folks doing this, well, I'm sure they'll "fix" that function.
Then DVRing will lose its appeal, since we will be forced to spend an entire hour watching a show instead of 45 minutes. And to be honest, that's critical to some. I've kept from watching content on the web under networks websites because you do have to spend an hour watching it. Meh!!!
