GODZILLA, PACIFIC RIM, LUKE CAGE, SENSE8 Christmas Special TV News

Sequel Titles:

The upcoming Godzilla sequel film will be called Godzilla: King of Monsters The Pacific Rim sequel will be called Pacific Rim: Uprising. Though I find it mildly disheartening that they're dredging up an old title for a new film. But hey, now you know!

But wait, there's more.

Keep in mind that Godzilla is part of a larger picture, because down the road the big lizard will be fighting King Kong. (Hmm, I guess that's a bit of a spoiler. Sorry)

Also, it seems that in Pacific Rim, Charlie Hunnam won't be reprising his role, because of some scheduling politics and what not.

I'm glad to see these two sequels moving forward. And I'm really happy about Pacific Rim's sequel, considering that after a $190M budget, they pulled in $411M at the box office.

Some are saying Godzilla did better at the box office with a smaller budget, where they dropped $160M and netted $529M. But Pacific Rim, I think, had more CGI to work on than Godzilla, considering 'Zilla might have had at most, 11 minutes on-screen in his own movie!  Yep...

Netflix announced that they are renewing Luke Cage for a second season.

If you didn't catch it yet, you're in for a treat and some great twists and surprises as to who you think is doing what, when and the like. For example, just when you think you know who the bad guy is...

"Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime. When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city.  There is no confirmation of how many new episodes were ordered."

I'm not sure how they're going to pull this off, but Netflix is going to release a two-hour Sense8: A Christmas Special, on Friday, Dec. 23. I mean, how in the bloody hell will they be able to instill any kind of holiday feel in this story? Is so dang drab and freaky.  ...in a good way.

Then season two will commence on May 5th.
