TV News 2-23-17: ABC, NBC, SYFY, FOX, NETFLIX

Renewals and premiere news for Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, The Bachelor, American Idol, America's Got Talent, Channel Zero, Lucifer, Superstore, The OA and Top Gear.

-

ABC renewed Grey’s Anatomy (for a 14th season), Scandal (7th season) and How to Get Away with Murder (4th).

Not sure if you heard but ABC pulled a chicken-shit move by announcing who the next Bachelorette is, before the home dates on The Bachelor even aired. Giving away a huge spoiler. So huge that I'm not even going to mention it... if you want to know, go look it up.

NBC is looking into reviving American Idol on its network. We'll see how that goes.

Nick Cannon is leaving America's Got Talent because he caught wind that he might be getting fired because of a racial joke he made about NBC while on another show/network. Duh.

Channel Zero has been renewed for two additional seasons beyond the second upcoming season on Syfy.

Lucifer was renewed by Fox for a third season. I hope they can keep this devilishly fun show fresh for a third season.

Superstore was renewed for a third season by NBC

The OA is getting a second season from Netflix.

Top Gear with hosts Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid, will premiere its new season on BBCA on March 13.
