Trailers: THE DEFENDERS, THE DARK TOWER

This week we have the Guardians of the Galaxy coming to theaters and that's pretty exciting. But to add to the fun are the two teaser trailers that also came out this week.

We have the first trailer both The Dark Tower and Marvel's The Defenders on Netflix. It's been a good week! Right?

I've never read The Dark Tower books, but the trailer looks pretty intense. As far as The Defenders goes, well, I'm pretty jazzed about that one too. But for me, it seems that whatever Idris Elba is in, he always makes it better! Yes, even Prometheus!

Check out both trailers below:

vie press release:

In a world full of superheroes, there’s only one Gunslinger. From the epic best-selling novels by Stephen King.

There are other worlds than these. Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world’s most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen. The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.

And THE DEFENDERS Official Trailer (2017):

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.

  1. I have read all the dark tower books, I am not a great Stephen king fan but kept hearing about the books so thought i would try.

Long arse books, but they sure did keep me reading.

I am looking forward to the film and will try and watch it as a stand alone film rather than looking for parts of the book.
