Holiday Christmas 2017 Box Office Movies

Holiday Christmas Movies for 2017, Downsizing and more

So what do we have for movies to watch during this holiday time frame, that might be interesting to go catch? Hopefully a better selection of family-fum movies than previous years, that's for sure.

Let's see what we have coming out just before Christmas, and what is in the box office now and what may still be in theaters when Christmas comes around.

Downsizing with Matt Damon looks cute, the Jumanji film will probably fly for family screenings, of course, there's the elephant in the room, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Coco is a family film. There are some trailers below, for some of the films.

Friday, December 22nd:

The Greatest Showman,
Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
{So we're going to celebrate the life of a man who tortured wild animals for decades?}

All the Money in the World,
ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Christopher Plummer) to pay the ransom.
It's a Ridley Scott film... we can wait until it comes to HBO or wherever.

(By the way, all marketing for this film has removed Kevin Spacey and Christopher Plummer is reshooting all his scenes.)

Father Figures,
Owen Wilson (“The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Zoolander 2”) and Ed Helms (“The Hangover” films, “We're the Millers”) star in the Alcon Entertainment comedy “Father Figures,” marking the directorial debut of veteran cinematographer Lawrence Sher (“The Hangover” films). Wilson and Helms are Kyle and Peter Reynolds, brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out together to find their real father, and end up learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know.

Downsizing,
When scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall as a solution to overpopulation, Paul (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.

Pitch Perfect 3, Last Call Pitches.
After the highs of winning the world championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren't job prospects for making music with your mouth. But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.

Jumanji: Welcome To the Jungle,
Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves - or they'll be stuck in the game forever.

Friday, December 15th:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, (Ok, should I just stop typing right there?)
