Movie Production Status Report for July 2013 (Mad Max, Godzilla, and more)

If you're wondering what the state of production for different movies are, I thought I'd toss out a few genre movies we here at Movie Static are waiting to see how they perform at the box office.

(Release dates) and other details included, where applicable and what not.

In Development

These are movies that are being pitched, in the "idea" or hopes stage, etc., etc..

  • Justice League (6/15 ?) I keep seeing this date changing...
  • Deadpool (Seriously?  We'll know it when we see the real news.  Not actor reports of things they want to see happen or what not.)
  • Avatar 2 (???)
  • Jurassic Park IV (2015)  If they quit changing their minds about this, now, reboot of the franchise.
  • Man of Steel 2 (?)  No date, but they made enough money and need this to keep the JLA dream alive.
  • Prometheus 2 - Script stage.
  • Jeepers Creepers III (They claim 2013...)
  • ID Forever Part I - From Roland Emmerich.
  • The Flash - In script/pipe-dream stage.  Again, JLA hopes.
  • Wonder Woman - DC hired a script writer.  (Too bad they never took up Joss Whedon on his spec script some years back!)
  • Bad Boys 3 - Script stage.
  • National Treasure 3 - A Jerry Bruckheimer Film.
  • Assassin's Creed - Screenplay being adapted.
