Renewal and Cancellation News For a Friday, 11-1-13

Here's some news snippets this week for shows cancelled, renewed and other snippets.

Back in the Game was cancelled by ABC while The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife received renewals for next year.

The previews seemed cute for Game, but I guess it just didn't pull its marketing weight.

Other series that have met the ratings reaper (cancelled) include Lucky 7, We Are Men, Ironside just did not catch anyone's attention and Welcome to the Family is apparently not welcomed on any other TV either.

-

If you were a fan of Lifetime's show, The Client List, well, it too has been cancelled, but not because of ratings.  Sadly, it seems there were creative differences between Jennifer Love Hewitt and the network.

That's stupid, because that leaves the fans out in the dark.

Did you hear there's talk about a HIMYM spinoff?  Yep, an d guess what?  It has a working title of How I Met Your Father and will follow a new group of friends in NY.

-

The Blacklist leads all TV shows in the biggest gain in DVR viewers of any show this last week, adding 5.72 million viewers.

I don't know about you, but I don't know if anyone is ready for a reboot of Charmed.  Are you?  Well, whether you are or not, CBS is working on one.

And NBC is working on a Murder, She Wrote remake.

The Walking Dead was renewed for a fifth season for 2014.

Drop Dead Diva was renewed by Lifetime

Suits was renewed by USA

If you're a fan, TMZ Live received a multi-year renewal, through 2017.  Wow, great drama series go year to year and this gets multi-year deals.

Syfy renewed Face Off for a sixth season.

-

Just so you can plan, The Voice season finale will air on December 17th, 2013.
